As retirement neared my wife and I decided that we wanted a lifestyle that allowed us to travel. Being thoughtful and conservative people we weighed all our options spent months planning and researching and came up with “The Plan”.

Ok what really happened involved a decision made in a moment of absolutely questionable clarity and we bought a 5th wheel. Only then did we realize how big it was (43 feet) but our truck couldn’t move it . Luckily our campground was just up the road. Our RV dealership was more than happy to deliver it to our seasonal site! In fact they actually retrieved our old trailer and parked so that we could literally put down a plank and move everything across right in their parking area. Problem solved!

OK problem sort of solved. How do you become mobile if you cant pull the trailer and you don’t want to have to buy a new truck? That’s when we remembered the 19 foot retro-travel trailer we had seen at the dealership! Enter “The Baby”. Not only can the truck tow it , it’s cute! Problem 2 solved!
